Walmart is receiving criticism for an alleged photo of an email blast that featured the N-word in the subject line. Baller Alert, which has 6.2 million Instagram followers, posted a screenshot of the email on the platform.
Other users on Twitter posted images saying they received the same email from the organization.
BNC reached out to Walmart for a statement and a spokesperson said, “We discovered that an external bad actor created false Walmart accounts with obvious intent to offend our customers. We were shocked and appalled to see these offensive and unacceptable emails. We’re looking into our sign up process to ensure something like this doesn’t happen again. We’re also looking into all available means to hold those responsible accountable.”
