According to the network, Moore died overnight after battling an aggressive form of brain cancer for seven months. She was with WSB-TV Channel 2 Action News since 1998.
In April, doctors found two masses on her brain. After having surgery, she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a common type of brain cancer. There are treatments to slow down the progression of the cancer, but currently there is no cure.

The native New Yorker received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bennington College in Vermont and her Masters of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Columbia University.
Before working for WSB-TV, she worked on-air in Memphis and Arkansas. Her work has earned her several Emmy Awards and honors from several organizations and publications.
Moore is survived by her mother and three children.
