Aurora Police Investigating Shooting Near Colorado High School

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred near a Colorado high school which resulted in students being shot. 

Six high school students have been rushed to the hospital following a shooting that took place at Nome Park near Aurora Central High School. According to Denver’s CBS 4, the victims are within the age range of 14 to 18 years old.  

Aurora Police Chief Vanessa Wilson reported that the shooting that occurred was a drive-by shooting and there are multiple suspects involved. An 18-year-old adult is injured and one of the students is in an emergency surgery, Wilson reported.  

A witness, Henry Martinez, told CBS 4 that he heard what he believed to be “30-50” shots fired. Chief Wilson is asking for the public’s help in locating any suspects.
