‘Baldwin Hills’ star Gerren Taylor dies in her sleep at age 30

BET’s Baldwin Hills star Gerren Taylor passed away yesterday at 4:30 a.m., according to several different reports.

Taylor, 30, died in her sleep. The causes are unknown and have not yet been revealed, according to BET.

“She battled with lupus and was on dialysis during the time of her death, but it has not been reported to be related to the cause,” the report read.

Born Ashley Taylor, but known as Gerren, the former model gained popularity as one of the leads on the series Baldwin Hills that ran from 2007 until 2009.

ESSENCE reports that Taylor’s family will release a link to the public, allowing fans to support her family, including her daughter, during this time of need.

Gerren leaves behind a 7-year-old daughter.
