Activists, lawmakers and Floyd’s family are still fighting for legislative justice as they try to get the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act passed. While President Biden hoped to sign the bill into law on by Tuesday, it has hit hurdles in the Senate.
BNC Correspondent Rarione Maniece spoke to Senator Cory Booker about the bill. He said, “The date is important to remember, but let’s get the bill done right and not done quickly. Whatever we can get off the table in a negotiation that makes things better, let’s be focused on that purpose.”
