Bill Cosby, 83, will remain behind bars as he was denied parole this month, the Daily News reported.
The Pennsylvania Parole Board denied the disgraced comedian because he failed to complete a prison program for sex offenders and didn’t create a parole release plan, according to reports.
He also received a “negative recommendation,” according to a letter from the board.
Cosby was convicted in 2018 of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home in 2004. He was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison.
“Mr. Cosby has vehemently proclaimed his innocence and continues to deny all allegations made against him,” his spokesman Andrew Wyatt told The Daily News. “Today, Mr. Cosby continues to remain hopeful that the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court will issue an opinion to vacate his conviction or warrant him a new trial.”
According to the Daily News, Cosby isn’t eligible for release until Sept. 25.
