Black actors won several awards at the 2021 Golden Globes on Sunday held virtually due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The organization responsible for nominations, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, was harshly criticized for its lack of Black members, according to the New York Times.
As Tina Fey and Amy Poehler opened the program, Poehler said, ” a number of Black actors and Black-led projects were overlooked.”
