Byron Allen to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Media mogul Byron Allen is set to receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday.  

Allen is the owner of Allen Media Group and Entertainment Studios, which includes television stations and websites such as The Grio.

However, Allen’s journey into show business began when the young comedian snuck onto the set of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and sat in the television icon’s desk pretending to be Carson.  

The future media mogul made his debut on The Tonight Show at just 18-years-old and still acknowledges Carson for the launch of his career.  

Allen’s star will be next to his famous late night talk show mentor Carson on the intersection of Hollywood and Vine on October 20.

“Byron Allen has show business in his blood! His impressive career started as a young boy and just kept going. We are very proud to be able to pay tribute to Mr. Allen’s stellar career and add his name to our iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 

He also has one of the largest cable network portfolios in the industry with 10 24-hour HD television networks, The Weather Channel, The Weather Channel en Espanol, Comedy.tv and Cars.tv.
