The BNC Gospel Summer Concert Series was kicked off by the serenating strums of the guitar of McReynolds, the “Make Room” singer and the heavenly voice of Jones.
“I think the way I write and the way I think she writes, we start with our own humanity, our own flaws, stories and thought and we address and answer it with our faith,” McReynolds said to BNC correspondent Nerissa Knight.
Jones, the Grammy-nominated artist who possesses an angelic voice, signed with McReynolds’ label and was featured on his hit single “Cycles.” She then went on to release singles of her own, such as “Brighter.”
“All of my songs either come from where I been, where I am or where I hope to go,” Jones said.
