Ciara and First Lady Jill Biden Team Up to Give Kids the COVID-19 Vaccine

The visit was a part of a national campaign led by Biden, a teacher herself, to get more children a shot of the Pfizer vaccination which is the only one approved. 

Singer Ciara has partnered with the White House in its efforts to promote getting more children vaccinated against COVID-19. 

Ciara alongside her children, each under the age of seven, met with first lady Dr. Jill Biden and pediatrician, Dr. Hina Talib on Thursday about COVID-19 vaccinations for kids and the importance it would play in the pandemic.

Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a statement giving the go-ahead for kids aged 5 to 11 years old to receive the COVID shot. So far, 10% of eligible children have been given a dose.  

The visit was a part of a national campaign led by Biden, a teacher herself, to get more children a shot of the Pfizer vaccination which is the only one approved. 

The conversation will be shared across Ciara’s and the White House’s social media platforms according to a CNN report.
