Drake and Chris Brown Need Guidance After Lawsuit Over ‘No Guidance’ Track

Drake and Chris Brown are facing a copyright infringement lawsuit after a singer and producer claimed the artists took their song and transformed it into “No Guidance.”

Singer Brandon Cooper and producer Timothy Valentine claim Chris Brown and Drake took their track titled “I Love Your Dress.” Their track dropped three years before “No Guidance.” After listening to both tracks, it is clear that both artists state the phrase “you got it.”

Due to the similarities, the singer and producer are expecting to receive serious cash in return, according to court papers.

According to Complex, a similar issue happened to The Weeknd and his team. As reported by Stereogum, Suniel Fox and Henry Strange are suing The Weeknd for allegedly plagiarizing their track “Vibeking” for his track “Call Out My Name.”

The Weeknd’s DJ and engineer PNDA told the two that he wasn’t going to credit them for the track.

“Just gonna tell [The Weeknd] that our production team wrote the track,” the two claim PNDA wrote to them. “Cool? Or u have another idea? Just don’t want to say ‘hey, [Strange] wrote this’ when he doesn’t know u.”
