Exhibit opens up to honor 100 Black people killed by police  

A new exhibit in Minneapolis is honoring 100 Black Americans who died in police custody, according to Yahoo News.  

The “Say Their Names Cemetery” is an art installation created by graduates of the University of Pennsylvania. 

The exhibition includes Breonna Taylor, Philando Castile, Eric Garner, Atatiana Jefferson and George Floyd.

“This is actually outrageous right here. All these people right here was killed by police. Like, how? Why?” Nakea Harris, an observer of the exhibit, told Yahoo News. 

“I’m really sad about it. I’m just looking at the names, like, how old these people… look at the age 27. I’m 29. Like, my kids would have been celebrating my birthday right now, you know? It’s just sad. You look at their birthdays, birthdays just past, people still coming down to see him. It’s sad,” she said. 

The exhibit is located one block away from where Floyd was killed by former cop Derek Chauvin, who was recently found guilty of second-degree murder, second-degree manslaughter and third-degree murder by a Minneapolis jury.
