Family accuses Georgia daycare of feeding white kids before Black children

A Georgia daycare is in hot water after the staff was accused of feeding white children while the Black kids had to wait to eat.

Adryan McCauley spoke with CBS 46 and said that he turned into a live stream of Kids R’ Kids daycare in Roswell, Ga. to check on his 2-year-old when he noticed something strange.

“They were skipping all of the Black kids it seemed like,” he said. “All the white kids got their lunch, and all the Black kids had to wait. From the videos and pictures that we saw today, we are just completely disturbed.”

After the family took a screenshot of the incident, the child’s mother went to pick up the kid immediately and confronted the school’s director who allegedly told her, “I’m not really sure because I’m not in the classroom, maybe it’s a dietary thing.”

The CEO of Kids R’ Kids, David Vinson, told CBS, “I wish that everybody would be able to see the video in entirety first and not just a snapshot.”

The company apologized to the family and will use the incident in their training methods.

“We know the act was random, and the photo doesn’t show the entire room; we believe if the parents viewed the videos, they would understand. I wish they could see the compassion we have,” Vinson said.

The company is ending its relationship with the Roswell branch, according to CBS 46.
