The criminal complaint comes from an unnamed executive assistant, referred to as “Executive Assistant #1” in the official report, who filed the complaint with the Albany County sheriff’s department, The New York Times reported Friday. She accused Cuomo of groping her breast in the Executive Mansion last year. She also told investigators that the governor acted inappropriately by kissing and hugging her.

The filing of the criminal complaint comes after the news that the New York State Attorney General’s office said the governor sexually harassed eleven women and created a “hostile work environment for women.” The employees harassed include both current and former state employees.

Albany County prosecutor David Soares is one of the five prosecutors looking into Cuomo’s behavior after the Attorney General’s report. The New York State Assembly’s Judiciary Committee is also conducting an impeachment investigation into Cuomo and the allegations against him.

According to CNN, lawyers working for the committee sent a letter to Cuomo’s attorneys Thursday. The letter let the attorneys know the investigation is nearing completion, and the Assembly will consider potential articles of impeachment against him. Cuomo was also invited to submit evidence supporting his case or written submission to the committee by August 13.

The newly filed complaint is the first criminal case against the governor, and more are expected to follow. The lawyer of another one of Cuomo’s accusers says she intends to sue him and his co-conspirators, ABC News reported.
