Gregg Leakes has died from colon cancer at the age of 66, according to PEOPLE.
The Leakes family publicist Ernest Dukes confirmed the news in a statement saying, “Today the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart. After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife, Nene Leakes.”

NeNe Leakes is “broken” as her husband Gregg is on his death bed with cancer.
PEOPLE’s Nicholas Rice reports the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared the news with guests at her Georgia lounge, The Linnethia, after she was reportedly called out for not saying happy birthday to a visitor.
“You don’t know what we’re dealing with right now. We walked in this lounge because we had to walk in this lounge because this is our business,” she said, as reported by Rice. “So, when people approach and say, ‘You’re rude because you don’t want to say happy birthday,’ my husband is at home dying. I don’t want to say ‘happy birthday.’”
Gregg was in remission for two years following his diagnosis of stage III colon cancer in 2018. NeNe shared in June that the cancer had returned and he was hospitalized for six weeks as he recovered from surgery, per Entertainment Weekly’s Sara Netzley.
