A third victim of Sunday’s mass shooting in Miami-Dade County has died. BNC Correspondent Stephanie Bertini gives the latest details on “Start Your Day” with Sharon Reed and Mike Hill. Miami Police Cheif Art Acevedo is settling into a new role, and he is about to hit two months with the department after serving decades in law enforcement.

His love for police work has recently been confronted by significant challenges nationwide. According to the National Gun Violence Archive, more than 18,000 fatal gunfire incidents took place so far this year. In June, gunfire was highlighted in Central Florida, with a 12-year-old and 14-year-old engaging in a shootout with police after the mass shooting on Memorial Day Weekend.
