Hollywood Walk of Fame Reveals Class of 2022

If you’re in Hollywood, you may notice a couple new additions to the Walk of Fame. The newest class of honorees have been announced for 2022. 

The Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2022 was revealed on June 17 on the Facebook page and the Walk of Fame’s website.  

This new class includes various Hollywood elite that have made an impact on the entertainment industry. Honorees will include Michael B. Jordan, Regina King and Tessa Thompson in the category of Motion Pictures. For television honorees: Byron Allen, Tracee Ellis Ross, Holly Robinson Peete and Kenan Thompson. In the music genre, the nominees are George E. Clinton Jr., Ashanti, DJ Khaled, Nipsey Hussle. Within the category of sports, Michael Strahan was nominated.  

The selection committee is made up of Walk of Fame alumni. They hand select the nominees that represent various genres of the entertainment world.  

“The Panel did an amazing job choosing these very talented people. We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!” said Ellen K., Chair of the Walk of Fame Selection Panel and radio personality.  

Star ceremonies have not been scheduled yet. Honorees have two years to set up their star ceremony from the date of selection before they expire. Upcoming star ceremonies are usually announced ten days prior to dedication on the official website www.walkoffame.com.
