Kanye West Has ‘Two Words’ in Netflix Teaser of ‘Jeen-Yuhs’ Docuseries

In Summary

A new Netflix docuseries about the life and career of rapper Kanye West, which features never-before-seen footage, will be available to stream in 2022.

A documentary about Kanye West’s life and impact titled jeen-yuhs is slated to hit Netflix in 2022, serving as a stark reminder that the Donda rapper doesn’t plan to slow down any time soon.

The three-act documentary traces West’s professional path to global popularity over the period of 21 years, beginning with the rapper’s early days of trying to break through and ending with him as a hip-hop superstar and successful businessman, per uDiscoverMusic’s Rhian Daly

BNC first reported on the documentary in April, but it hadn’t been named at the time. In addition to his career in music and fashion, jeen-yuhs will cover West’s 2020 presidential bid and the death of his mother Donda, who serves as the inspiration behind his latest album of the same name.

The documentary’s first teaser was released recently by Netflix, and it shows a home video of West and Mos Def rapping their song “Two Words” from West’s 2004 album The College Dropout

“Filmed over two decades, jeen-yuhs is an intimate and revealing portrait of Kanye’s experience, showcasing both his formative days trying to break through and his life today as a global brand and artist,” per an official synopsis

The docuseries is being produced by Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, who previously collaborated with West on the music videos for his 2003 breakthrough single “Through The Wire” and the third version of “Jesus Walks.” They’ve been collecting behind-the-scenes footage of the star since then.
