Production will halt starting the week of Thanksgiving and resume in early 2022. Wright received the injury from a stunt rig on location in Boston. Initially, Letitia’s injury was not expected to affect the filming process as director Ryan Coogler along with the rest of the cast were still filming scenes in Atlanta.

In a release shortly after her injury, Marvel Studios confirmed Wright was to recover in a London hospital and could return to filming in early 2022. Deadline reports director Ryan Coogler has shot all that’s required outside of Wright’s sequences.
According to Deadline, she has been released from the hospital.
Wright joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the sister to Chadwick Boseman’s titular character T’Challa, playing his genius, younger sibling Shuri. After the tragic death of Boseman following a bout with cancer, Wright’s character is stepping up to keep the lore of Wakanda alive.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the sequel to the original Black Panther and is anticipated to hit movie theaters in November 2022.
