WARNING: This story contains sensitive details about Islamophobia.

U.S. representative for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, Ilhan Omar, listened to a voicemail from an unidentified caller who stated, “You will not live much longer,” according to Insider.

“You’re all about taking over our country. Don’t worry, there’s plenty that will love the opportunity to take you off the face of this f—– earth. Come get it. But you f—– Muslim piece of s—. You jihadist. We know what you are. You’re a f—– traitor. You will not live much longer,” the unknown man who sent the voicemail said.

Additional to Omar, Reps. André Caron and Rashida Tlaib are two members of the Muslim community in the House of Representatives. Following recent Islamophobic comments by Rep. Lauren Boebert, a press conference was held to get Republican leadership to make Boebert take responsibility for her remarks.

Per The Bussiness Insider, video footage shows Boebert proposing that Omar was a suicide bomber, while allegedly running into her at the U.S. Capitol. A Capitol Police officer dashed to the elevator with “fret on his face” as she got on.

“Well, she doesn’t have a backpack. We should be fine,” Boebert said she told the officer. “Oh, look, the jihad squad decided to show up for work today,” she looked to Omar to say.

Omar also reached out to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Republican minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, to take further measures. McCarthy is taking Omar’s side and has stated that he would vote against Boebert after apologizing personally and publicly.
