Marc Lamont Hill & Candace McKinley on ‘Black Mama’s Bail Out’

Marc Lamont Hill sits down with Candace McKinley, Lead organizer of the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund, on “Black Mama’s Bail Out,” which raises funds to bail Black mothers out of jail before Mother’s Day.

The initiative has been able to bail nearly 700 people out of jails, with 150 of them being for “Black Mama’s Bail Out.” “It really is a system that targets people for punishing people for being poor,” McKinley tells Hill.
