“Introducing BLACK IRISH,” Mariah Carey tweeted. The legendary singer has launched a new beverage with Black Irish, a brand that produced premium Irish cream.
The cream varies in three flavors: Original, White Chocolate and Salted Carmel, all containing 17% ABV.
Carey, whom selected the name Black Irish, based the decision off of her Black and Irish lineage. Food and Wine reports that her father was of Black and Venezuelan descent, and her mother has an Irish background.
“I have been putting my heart into this project for almost two years and I am so excited to finally share this news with you all,” Carey stated. “I wanted to create something that embodies the holidays and gives everyone a reason to celebrate year-round, and I really think we have done that with Black Irish.”

According to Food and Wine, the brand states that the Irish Creams are “crafted and produced in Ireland in a certified sustainable facility.” The bottles contain a cap and seal stamped with the singer’s initials, “MC.”
The singer is a fan of Irish creams and believes that the creams go well with her holiday anthem “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The bottles will be sold at a retail price of $29.99 for 750 milliliters, and $3.99 for 50 milliliters.
