Person of Interest Found Dead in Search of Missing Student Miya Marcano

The apartment complex maintenance man, who police officials said was a person of interest in the disappearance of Miya Marcano, was found dead from an apparent suicide, as reported by NBC News.
Authorities said the worker, Armando Manuel Caballero, 27, had access to the master key which was used to get into Marcano’s Orlando apartment on Sept. 24.
His body was found in his Seminole County apartment and “had been dead for quite some time,” Sheriff John Mina told reporters.
Marcano, a 19-year-old Valencia College, has been missing since Friday. She reportedly “rebuffed” Caballero after he expressed “romantic interest” in her, according to Orange County sheriff’s deputies.
“Miya is still missing, her disappearance is suspicious and our detectives and the family members obviously suspect foul play,” Mina said. “We are still doing everything possible to find her.”
Her family said that her bedroom looked like it was in “disarray” and that there were signs of a struggle, according to WFLA.
According to reports, Marcano planned to meet her family in Fort Lauderdale on Friday but missed her flight.
Her family said they haven’t heard from her, but remain hopeful that she’s still alive.
Her aunt, Pia Scarbriel Henry, told reporters, “I know you’re alive. I know you’re out there. We love you. You know we will not sleep one night until we get you home.”
