Piers Morgan leaving ‘Good Morning Britain’ after Meghan Markle comments

Piers Morgan is leaving his role at Good Morning Britain after about 41,000 complaints were received regarding his comments about Meghan Markle.
According to ITV, Morgan commented about Markle’s claims on her battle with mental health and racism allegations in her and Prince Harry’s first interview since stepping down from their royal duties.

Millions worldwide have seen the bombshell interview where the couple revealed their struggles with the Royal Family.
Ofcom, the government regulatory agency for broadcasting and telecommunications in the United Kingdom, launched an investigation after receiving thousands of complaints about Morgan’s comments.

Shortly after Ofcom announced the investigation, news broke about Morgan’s departure.
The broadcaster stormed off set Tuesday after cohost Alex Beresford called his behavior “diabolical.”

ITV has accepted Morgan’s decision to leave.
