In Summary
Rapper Boosie Badazz has never been one to openly embrace the LGBTQ+ community, and a recent gay rant against Lil Nas X is proof he doesn’t plan on doing so any time soon.Rapper Boosie Badazz is no stranger to controversy, but did he go way too far in his gay rant against Lil Nas X? Well, it depends on who you ask.
The “Call Me By Your Name” rapper has seemingly been living in Boosie’s head rent free for months because the rapper doesn’t agree with his sexuality. Boosie has threatened in multiple interviews and Instagram videos to “drag” and beat the 22-year-old—but it appears he can’t take what he dishes out.

“STOP TROLLING ME F—– LOL!!,” he said in a tweet to Lil Nas X over the weekend, per NBC News’ Matt Lavietes. “IF YOU #commitsuicide YOU WOULD DO THIS WORLD A HUGE FAVOR NOBODY WANTS U HERE.”
It didn’t take long for Twitter to remove the post for violating their policy on hate speech, and for Lil Nas X to respond in his typical troll fashion.
“I am truly saddened. I have never been so mortified in my life. I can’t believe Disney channel has yet to play Halloween town this entire October,” Lil Nas X said in what appears to be his response to Boosie.
Boosie’s inflammatory remarks came after Lil Nas X joked on Instagram Live over the weekend that he would be working on a new song with the 38-year-old rapper. A number of people came to Lil Nas X’s defense, including his father, Robert Stafford.

“How the hell you’re a gangsta rapper promoting drugs, gun violence, degrading women and getting high every video talking about you’re for the kids. Man, sit your old man looking a– down,” Stafford said in an Instagram post many believe was in reference to Badazz, per REVOLT TV’s Victoria Moorwood. “The game has [passed] you. We real Bankhead over here. Not like the guy who claims it.”
Boosie has previously targeted other members of the LGBTQ community, including Dwyane Wade’s transgender daughter Zaya. The Miami Heat basketball star revealed in 2020 that his child wanted to live her life as a woman, to which Badazz took to Instagram to say, “That is a male … At 12, they don’t even know what they next meal gonna be. They don’t have s— figured out yet.”
Critics are left scratching their heads that a rapper, who has beat cancer, a murder charge and a lifelong prison sentence would struggle in a one-sided beef with a gay rapper who has two Grammys, three No. 1 singles and is, seemingly, living his best life.
