Report: Black man in Virginia shot by deputy after calling 911

A Black Virginia man was shot multiple times on Wednesday by a police officer after the cop dropped him home after his car broke down.

Isaiah Brown is intensive care following the incident with a sheriff deputy outside his home, his family said, according to NBC Washington.

“The officer just started shooting at him for no reason. I didn’t hear a warning shot. All I heard was ‘Hands up!’ one time. And all he had was his phone, so I know he put his hands up,” Isaiah Brown’s brother, Tazmon Brown, told NBC.

Brown, 32, reportedly got a ride home from the deputy after his car broke down early Wednesday morning.

After the cop left, Brown called 911, which resulted in the officer arriving back at the house, where they reportedly returned to the home and opened fire.

Brown’s siblings said that the officer shot him for no reason.

“I’m just still trying to figure out where he felt the threat at, to feel the need to shoot,” Yolanda Brown, his sister, said.

An official confirmed with NBC that Brown was unarmed.
