Rihanna Becomes World’s Richest Female Musician, Worth $1.7 Billion

Entrepreneur and singer Rihanna is officially a billionaire thanks to her widely popular Fenty Beauty line, according to Forbes.

The “Work” singer is reportedly worth $1.7 billion, making her the world’s wealthiest female musician. She is right behind Oprah Winfrey as the second richest female entertainer.

According to Forbes, Rihanna owns 50% of Fenty Beauty, alongside fashion brand LVMH, which owns Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior. The company is valued at $2.8 billion.

The rest of Rihanna’s net worth stems from her partial ownership in her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, and her earnings from her music career.

“A lot of women felt there were no lines out there that catered to their skin tone. It was light, medium, medium-dark, dark,” says Shannon Coyne, co-founder of consumer products consultancy Bluestock Advisors. “We all know that’s not reality. She was one of the first brands that came out and said, ‘I want to speak to all of those different people.’”
