Shots Fired at North Carolina High School, One Student Dead

An active shooter situation is currently underway at a high school in North Carolina Wednesday, BNC reported.  

The Forsyth County Sherriff’s Office confirmed the incident happened at Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, which is currently under lockdown.  

“We and the WSPD have secured the campus and are doing everything possible to keep students safe,” the Sheriff’s office wrote in a statement. “We are actively investigating what happened and will share confirmed information as appropriate.”  

One student has been injured, officials confirmed.  

UPDATE: September 1 at 5:45 p.m.

The student shot at Mount Tabor High School has died, according to CNN.
