“We are still very much fighting for justice for Breonna,” said Tamika Palmer, mother to Breonna Taylor. “This project not only captures Breonna’s spirit, it is a monument standing for a call to justice for her, and the others who have suffered the same fate, and a beautiful way [to] honor her life.”

The mission of Confront Art is to promote diversity and education in the arts by joining visual artists with social justice causes to create immersive public art displays globally.

Sotheby’s is the world’s largest, most trusted and dynamic marketplace for art and luxury. Their statement reads: “We empower our international community of collectors and connoisseurs to discover, acquire, finance and consign fine art and rare objects.”

“The SEEINJUSTICE series was inspired by the faces and stories that sparked the 2020 civil rights movement not only across America but throughout the world, and was conceived as a way to engage viewers, and encourage critical thinking and proactive social change,” the Instagram post reads.

Both sculptures are available to make a bid on December 17 at 9:44 a.m. PST.
