Along with the new flavors, Sprite will be releasing a new holiday campaign that will run on social media, digital and other retail channels. This will be their first new campaign in five years. The campaign strives to focus on celebrating the season with loved ones in person after more than a year of battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

The “Sprite Holiday Special” television commercials will represent Black joy infused with modern culture. “Everyone shows love and joy during the holidays, but no one as uniquely as young Black people whose humor and vernacular spread cheer with a little extra spice and uplift— just like Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry,” said the director of creative strategy for sparkling flavors, A.P. Chaney. “Our creative lens into expressions of Black joy, which are always ‘extra’ but never too much, and celebrates the spirit of connection we all crave more than ever.”

In 2019, Sprite launched the “Thirst for Yours” platform that helps emerging artists and entrepreneurs. This year, the company is continuing the tradition by helping young creators and supporting the Black-owned business UNWRP, which is a custom gift wrap company promoting the joy of gifting as self-expression.

UNWRP created custom gift wrap to accompany the new seasonal flavors. The wrapping paper will be available to select fans through surprise giveaways at UNWRP.com/Sprite.

The company was founded by Ashley L. Fouyolle in 2017. With humble beginnings rising up out of Fouyolle’s bedroom in her Brooklyn apartment, she let her love of art come to life through wrapping paper, fabric wraps, greeting cards and other home goods created by diverse young artists from around the globe.
