The teenager was shot and killed by Columbus police officer Nick Reardon, who responded to reports of a fight and arrived on the scene when Bryant had a knife in her hand. His body camera captured Reardon’s arrival and the shooting.
According to NBC News, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation completed a review of the case. Attorney General David Yost declined to reveal details about the case or whether they would bring charges against Reardon.

“The process needs work,” Yost said. “We are providing more information right now and volunteering that the investigation is completed and forwarded to the prosecuting attorney’s office in an effort to reassure the community that we in fact are on top of this.”
Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney Gary Tyack said two special prosecutors would review the findings and bring them before a grand jury. No timeline for this process has been established.
