A suspect was taken into custody in Orlando, Florida, Monday morning in connection to a shooting at a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office. 

ACTIVE INVESTIGATION: OPD is working a shooting at the 5400 block of S Semoran Blvd (USCIS Building). There is heavy police presence in the area between Semoran & Commander, north of Hoffner Ave. Media, use the plaza’s parking lot near the Ana G Mendez campus. UPDATE #2: We can confirm that a suspect in this investigation is now in OPD’s custody. We will continue to provide you with more information as it becomes available.

According to WFTV, the shooting was reported around 10:15 a.m. at the Orlando Field Office on Corporate Centre Boulevard. 

According to WESH, a man and woman were heading into the building when another man in a car drove up and confronted them. The man in the car began shooting at the pair. 

The woman managed to escape, but the man she was with was killed.
