Ten people, including Boulder police officer, killed in shooting at Colorado grocery store

Update: Monday, 3/22/2021- 9:32 p.m. EST

At least ten people have died in a mass shooting on Monday at a supermarket in Colorado including a police officer, multiple outlets reported.

Law enforcement took a man into custody and he was treated for his injuries.

The Boulder Police Department held a second press conference to update the public.

According to police, ten people were killed including Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley.

Police in Colorado have responded to an “active shooter” at King Soopers grocery store in Boulder on Monday, according to reports.  

Officers told ABC News that they responded to reports that someone was shot in the parking lot and fired upon by a suspect when they arrived at the scene.  

A live video feed showed a shirtless man with blood on his leg being escorted out of the store in handcuffs.

Governor Jared Polis tweeted about the shooting calling it a “tragedy.”

It is still unclear if any people were injured or killed.
