Trey Songz Facing Alleged Sexual Assault, Las Vegas Police Investigating

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an alleged sexual assault involving Trey Songz.

American singer Trey Songz is being held under an investigation after an alleged sexual assault at a hotel during the weekend.  

According to a statement by a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a report was received of “a sexual assault incident alleged to have occurred at a hotel in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.” 

Additionally, the statement concluded with the singer cooperating with the investigation and no arrests have been made. Following an incident last year where the singer dismissed another sexual misconducted allegation.  

According to PEOPLE, an alleged victim, who identifies as Aliza, reported an encounter with Songz where he got a hold of her cell phone and purse wouldn’t allow her to leave the hotel room.  

“I kept asking, like, ‘When can I leave, what time is it?'” Aliza said. “And he just, like, wouldn’t answer, he would just f— ignore me. And I’m like, ‘Okay.’ And then he was like, ‘You can leave when I go to my flight,’ and I was like, ”Kay, when’s that?’ Wouldn’t tell me.” 

Songz took his explanation to social media and explained that the alleged encounter is “convenient” for someone who seeks “to destroy someone’s life.”
