Whoopi Goldberg Body Shamed on ‘The View’

Whoopi Goldberg was body shamed on The View by guest Barbara Corcoran during Thursday’s taping of the show.

Corcoran appeared on the show to discuss Emma Grede, the founder of the denim jean company Good American, and how Grede will become the first Black woman to be a featured guest shark on Shark Tank.

The other hosts were praising the company for its size-inclusive denim lineup.

Goldberg jokingly made a statement about getting a pair of the jeans, “Well, I have to try them. Will they fit this COVID butt?”

“When you get finished with those jeans, and decide you don’t like them, give them to me. I’m gonna make two pairs,” the businesswoman said in her sarcastic response to Goldberg.

It was intended to be a joke but it didn’t get the response Corcoran was looking for. Goldberg looked shocked as the cameras panned over for her response.

The audience even had a lackluster response to the joke. Co-host Ana Navarro came to Goldberg’s side and delivered a fashionable insult to Corcoran.

After the show and moment was over, Corcoran got on her to social media accounts to give Goldberg a heartfelt apology.
