Woman given $50K in Drake’s ‘God’s Plan’ video set to graduate with Master’s Degree

Destiny James, the woman given a $50,000 scholarship from Drake in his “God’s Plan” video, is set to graduate with her Master’s Degree, ESSENCE reported.

In 2018, Drake donated money to Miami residents in the video, including groceries for families, toys for children, and tuition for students. The musician reportedly spent the project’s entire $996,631.90 budget on the good deeds, CNBC reported.  

James graduated from the University of Miami in 2019, and now is set to graduate with her Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
