Yodit Tewolde sits down with Crystal Mason and her attorney Kim T. Cole on racial disparities in a case regarding voting. Mason is facing five years in prison after thinking she had the right to vote in 2016 in Texas.
Compare Mason’s case to a white Trump supporter who was able to walk free after he illegally voted using his deceased mother and mother-in-law’s names during the 2020 presidential election.
Mason said that she didn’t know Texas considered her ineligible vote because she was on supervised release for a federal tax fraud conviction.
